چکیده
Gas turbine engines (GTE) are widely used in military and industrial applications. Accurate modeling is mandatory to advance GTE control. The present article investigates, experimentally theoretically, a detailed dynamic model of an electro-hydraulic system that controls variable geometry inlet guide vanes (VIGV) turboshaft GTE. A parametric study for the computationally expensive time-consuming has been conducted considering forces affecting valve's spool its relatively short settling time. reduced mathematical developed. prediction results full-detailed models have compared with experimental results. decreased calculation time by 45% 50 % while keeping RMSE within 1-2 away from actual system's complete operating range. An improvement allows future studies integrate whole subsystems single affordable model.

Electro-hydraulic servo actuator (EHA) system consists of several dynamic parts which are widely used in motion control application. These dynamic parts need to be controlled to determine direction of the motion. In this research paper, system identification technique is used for system modeling and the model of the system is estimated by using parameter estimation technique. This process start...
متن کاملElectro-hydraulic Servo Valve Systems
Hydraulic systems driven by servo valves provide highly accurate control over enormous forces. A servo valve system consists of a transducer, a servo amplifier, a servo valve, and an actuator with a connected load. It is a closed-loop system used for the precise control of the output (load) parameter, such as position, velocity, or force, in response to a command signal. The output is converted...

A problem of interest to aircraft engine maintainers is the automatic detection, classification, and prediction (or prognosis) of potential critical component failures in gas turbine engines. Automatic monitoring offers the promise of substantially reducing the cost of repair and replacement of defective parts, and may even result in saving lives. Current processing for prognostic health monito...
متن کاملMillimeter-scale, Mems Gas Turbine Engines
The confluence of market demand for greatly improved compact power sources for portable electronics with the rapidly expanding capability of micromachining technology has made feasible the development of gas turbines in the millimeter-size range. With airfoil spans measured in 100’s of microns rather than meters, these “microengines” have about 1 millionth the air flow of large gas turbines and...
